Royal Enfield motorcycle is going to be made in Bangladesh
After India, the popular retro bike manufacturer Royal Enfield is eyeing to expand its business in neighboring countries as well. The company is planning to build new assembly plants in neighboring Bangladesh and Nepal to increase the supply of motorcycles in the global market. The Royal Enfield CEO B Govindarajan told so to the news agency PTI.
As a result, the way to increase the company's influence in the international market will be wider.
Currently, Royal Enfield sells motorcycles ranging from 250 to 750 cc engine capacity in more than 40 countries. According to the report, the company is aggressively trying to increase its resources. Preparations are being made to launch different types of bikes in different segments. However, no official message has been given by the company regarding the new model.
In this context, B Govindarajan commented, "We have felt the huge potential for growth in the countries where we are doing business." Therefore, setting up assembly plants in Bangladesh and Nepal is a strategy to expand the business in the global market. He said, due to legal reasons, Royal Enfield cannot export fully manufactured motorcycles to all these countries. So Royal Enfield will benefit if they can build bikes with local partners.
It is known that Royal Enfield will build this factory along with Ifad Motors in Bangladesh.
